I knew I was good when  my accountant pointed out to me that in over the 7 years of me doing web design, more than 90% of my customers were referrals and I still have no need to spend money for advertising since word of mouth is keeping me very busy. I take a very human approach to web design, even adult web design which is a huge portion of my portfolio.  When I make a site or customize a blog for a customer I always try to put myself in their shoes and I make huge efforts in trying to help them achieve the most attractive, professional site possible. If a customer isn’t happy, I always offer to 1 free redo of the the design (i solve this by getting the customers approval for each page I complete) and I will work with you to make sure that we get done what needs to be done. On top of all this love I’m giving you , a free banner with every site or blog, free photo retouch and I’m faster than anyone else in the business, so you don’t have to worry about waiting weeks for a simple 5-7 page site.

So now I need you my loyal adult design customers to carefully consider the suggestions I am about to make. Please! Please! Please do not take this personally because I believe this will help your project more than you can imagine.

1. I automatically include  free retouch with all my designs unless your looks are Playboy level and the photos your submitting are already retouched. It’s nothing personal and is actually  one of the most sought after requests from my customers. If you do not want air brushing of any kind please let me know ahead of time and I will gladly respect your wishes. I offer this because I feel it makes my customers feel special and more confident when they present their site to the world. All of the supermodels, pop stars and actors have retouched pics on their site so why not you? Your selling a product and competing with millions of other women for the same clients. It’s just a good idea.
2. This is only a suggestion, but submitting photos of yourself with no make-up is a huge no-no. I’ve seen this on and off for years and it blows my mind. I am not saying natural beauty isn’t good, but we girls know that most of us do not look as hot or sexy without make up and hair done. Again, if that’s the theme your going for (the natural look) then fine, but in general I am begging you to please wear some form of makeup. I’m not saying you have to plaster your face in make-up, but some lipstick or gloss with some color to it, (no nudes) , a couple of strokes of mascara makes a world of difference. Wear as much or as little as you like but please wear something. I’ve had plenty of customers come back for re-designs because they said guys were commenting on the plain appearance of the client and they had to shoot new pics. No one is saying your not hot without makeup, but again, this is a business and your competing for the same customers . Why not give yourself a chance to compete?
3. Photo quality is imperative. I will only accept large  digital quality high resolution pics. They are much easier to work with because the photo quality is crisp, and attractive which makes a much better site . I can always size down larger photos but cannot increase the size of smaller photos because it will pixelate and look blurry and strange. When you take the photos make sure you try to take them in places with lots of light and as little background noise as possible. The ideal spot is in front of a white wall or door but anywhere is fine as long as there isn’t too much going on in the background.  This helps me tremendously when I am picking out which photos to use for cut-outs and background removal. Please do not submit  any webcam photos it’s not ever going to be acceptable. Another tip is, lets say you have black hair, and a black dress on with black leather boots. it’s not a good idea to take a photo behind a black tarp or dark wall. You will get lost in all that dark color. Remember, I need you to stand out so I can grab your image from that photo. Think about your clients and where they would want to see you. Don’t forget to take plenty face shots, foot, leg, and boot, you know the drill, anything with intense or sexy eye action is also good, just try new stuff and have fun! Don’t be afraid to be creative take shots from new angles be like Princess Mandy (who has never been a client, I just think she rocks) , that girl has got the game on lock. Her photos are crisp, attractive, creative and current. She takes risks, and is very creative. I am not suggesting you rip off her style and duplicate it for yourself, I am using Mandy as an example of a real person who works in this industry and has set herself apart from her competition. Please keep that in mind.
4. Music on websites and blogs is very passe, unless it is a full flash site or some kind of media site no one really does it. I suggest not to  add music to websites or niteflirt listings not just because it’s kinda of cheesy and distracts potential clients from what your offering, it slows down the page download time which most people do not stick around for it it takes more than a few seconds. Sorry that’s the way it goes. If you want it, and don’t care about those factors then it’s no problem.
5. I think I work best when customers give me freedom to do what I want with the suggestions they give me. I cannot work well with a client who has to be in complete control of what goes where and how far over to the right to put this and that. I understand if that’s your wish but my mind doesn’t respond well to design instructions from others, I work it the best way how, show you, and you can tell me how to fine tune it to your liking. So far this way has worked quite well for me and my clients . I came to this conclusion after seeing the nightmare a situation like that can be after a clients site that should have taken less than 36 hours to complete took 3 weeks, a first for me. I’ll call her …Client X, lol. Client X had me to doing so many things that just looked insane and she keep changing her mind  and not wanting to pay extra for all the time this was taking, by the 3rd week when lightning bolts and eagles starting coming into the picture I had to politely refund her money and completely change my policy. My prices are low because I work super fast , so I can move onto the next job. Turn and burn, that’s how I do it. If things take longer, and it’s because you want changes , or can’t make up your mind what you like best this will cost extra and can almost double the price of the design. So now everyone knows where I stand, you let me do the design with your suggestions, and I will get your site to fast and with no extra charges, and you will be one happy customer!
